Before you begin
This service allows a user to lodge a request to covert a company from one type to another, eg convert from a private to a close company.
Please ensure you have the following documents.
- Conversion to a Close Company
- A resolution from the company
- An accounting officer’s consent form.
- Constitution (optional)
- Supporting documents (optional)
NB: a close company has 5 or less members.
- Conversion to a Company Limited by Guarantee
- A resolution from the company
- A constitution (and translation if it is not in English)
- Supporting documents (optional)
- Conversion to a Public Company
- A resolution from the company
- Constitution (optional)
- Supporting documents (optional)
- Conversion to a Private Company
- A resolution from the company
- A constitution (optional)
- Supporting documents (optional)
NB: A private company has 25 or less shareholders.
The request will be sent to CIPA for approval and a response issued within 24 hours.
