Before you begin
Please inform yourself of the different types of companies that can be registered, as you will need to select the type of company you are reserving a name for. Information on the different types of companies can be found here https://www.cipa.co.bw/selecting-and-reserving-an-entity-name.html.
Please also ensure you have searched the register and have satisfied yourself that the name you wish to reserve is not in use. A useful guide on the rules for reserving a company name can be found here: https://www.cipa.co.bw/requirements-for-foreigners.html.
Note that after approval, your name will be reserved for 30 days, during which time you must register it by selecting Register a Company from the OBRS menu. Failure to register the name within 30 days will render your name reservation invalid, and you will have to apply and pay again.
