Register traditional knowledge and handicrafts

Traditional Knowledge means an idea, knowledge, practice, use or invention, written or unwritten, which, may be associated to biological diversity, is a cultural, traditional or spiritual belief or value of a group of people.

Filing & Registration of Traditional Knowledge and Handicrafts

  • You fill Form 20 / Form 21 (Traditional Knowledge and Handicrafts respectively). Click here to see Form 20 & 21 guide.
  • Write a cover letter/application letter (include your personal details and request to the Registrar to file an application)
  • Submit to the registrar the application letter attaching Form 20/21.
  • Refer to the schedule of fees

After payment of the application fee, you will be issued with certificate of registration.

Changes and amendments of Traditional Knowledge and Handicrafts

  • Change of name of applicant

Applicant can change the personal details from the initial application

Notify the Registrar in writing and pay a prescribed fee

  • Change of address of applicant

Applicant can change the address details from the initial application

Notify the Registrar in writing and pay a prescribed fee

  • Change of address for service

Applicant can change their agents from the initial application
